Our Team
Natalie Daniels, Principal
Dearest Lion Family,
It is with great honor that I have the privilege of serving you as the Principal of Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School. I come to you with over 12 years of service in the Oceanside Unified School District. I have been witness to the great accomplishments of King Middle School as a result of the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our students, and the incredible support of our community. I join you in pride as the newest member of this great community.
Our mascot, the lion, embodies the values of strength, courage, and leadership. These virtues are not exclusively aspirations for our students - they define who we are as educators and mentors. Brené Brown eloquently stated, "Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them." I am committed to walking in step with these virtues in support of all students that are part of the King pride.
Together, we will build upon the achievements of King Middle School, striving for greater heights and nurturing a spirit of inclusivity and kindness. I believe that together we can continue to ensure that King Middle School is a place where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. I am eager and optimistic about the opportunities ahead.
I truly look forward to personally meeting you and celebrating our successes together in this new school year.
Warm regards,
Natalie Daniels
Dr. Jeanne Sesky, Assistant Principal
Hello King Community,
My name is Jeanne Sesky, Ed.D, and I am serving as your assistant principal. I have more than 25 years of experience serving as a public school educator.
It is my honor to serve on King’s leadership team, to help develop the student body and support its staff. I believe in personal integrity, clear communication, and the celebration of diversity.
I firmly believe that a child’s socioemotional development is the gateway to their academic success and future endeavors. Middle school is a key period of development, both socially and academically. Thus, I encourage each student to try new things, like clubs, sports, music, electives, and after-school activities. This school year, I want to be part of your child’s life by creating an environment where they may learn, grow and thrive.
I can be contacted by email: jeanne.sesky@oside.us ; or by calling the front office. I support students with last names A-L. Please feel free to reach out to me and I will respond as soon as I can.
